New Art Emphasis for Fall

The Graphic Design emphasis will be within the Bachelor of Arts - 4 years: Art. The total semester credit hours required for the Graphic Design emphasis is 120 sch. The emphasis will require 12 hours (4 classes) and an Internship in Graphic Design (1 class). Students must complete a minor from one of the following disciplines, Marketing, Communication or Computer Science.

41st Annual Honors Convocation

Four faculty members were recipients of special awards at the 41st Annual UTPB Honors Convocation on April 18th.

“You are here because you excel,” said Dennis McEntire in his Convocation address to the audience.“ You can go where you want to go because the doors are open to you. It is not about what you accomplish, it is about the people you meet along the way, the relationships you build and the friendships that you form.”

Finalist for UTPB President Named

The University of Texas System Board of Regents named Sandra K. Woodley, Ph.D., former president of the University of Louisiana System, as the sole finalist for the presidency of UTPB.

Woodley is no stranger to the UT System. From 2010 to 2013, she served as the System’s vice chancellor for strategic initiatives, where she led long-term strategic planning, policy research and accountability efforts.

LivingWell Spring into motion

Spring into Motion Challenge

Spring into Motion is a 4-week physical activity challenge designed to make physical activity a priority. All UT System employees, retirees, spouses, and dependents age 18 and above who are covered by the UT SELECT Medical Plan are eligible to participate. Participants aim for 6,000-10,000 steps or 30-60 minutes a day. Registration is going on now through April 10th and the challenge officially starts on April 3rd.
