Broken Link in a course?
If you notice any broken links in a course please contact course instructor. Canvas support does not have privileges to fix broken links.
Can't submit a file through Assignments?
Unfortunately, the issue is you are using (Microsoft Edge/IE) browser. The quickest solution is to use Chrome or Firefox.
Still can’t submit a file through Chrome/Firefox?
You have to make sure that the file you are trying to submit is a .doc or .docx file type. Instructor may have restricted type of files you can submit. Convert your file to types restricted by instructor. If you are trying to submit a .doc or .docx file type, and it is not going through, then you will want to clear your cache and cookies in Google Chrome. Contact instructor if you are not sure about type of the file to submit.
Missing courses in Dashboard?
Go to courses -> All courses, to favorite a course by clicking the star next to a course. Courses with yellow stars show the course is a favorite and display in dashboard
In Global Navigation, click the Courses link , then click the All Courses link .
View All Courses
All Courses are courses that are part of the current semester or term. However, depending on access settings for a course, My Courses can also display courses that have not yet started or are unpublished.
To favorite a course, click the star next to a course . Courses with yellow stars show the course is a favorite .
Can’t find course in All courses?
Contact Canvas Admin at CanvasAdmin@utpb.edu.
Additional courses displaying in Dashboard?
Displaying courses which you are not enrolled, contact Canvas Admin at CanvasAdmin@utpb.edu
Unauthorized message while accessing a page?
The instructor will need to look into this. The link might be going to another course you do not have access to, or the file is not published. Use Canvas Inbox communication to contact the instructor about the error.
Not able to see my calendar due dates for anything?
You may not see calendar due dates because none of the assignments have due dates associated in Canvas. You can, however, go into your calendar and view undated assignments by clicking the "Undated Items" drop down menu. Also let instructor know that the assignments are not showing up due dates.
In Global Navigation, click the Calendar link.
View Undated Events List
Expanding the Undated items link will show you a list of events and assignments that are not dated. The assignments and events will be differentiated by icons and by the personal, course, or group calendar color.
Can’t view an embedded video in Canvas?
Make sure you are using Chrome browser to view embedded videos.
Respondus Lockdown Browser on Mac?
Respondus is particular about which browser to use, depending on if you are using Mac or PC. If you are using a Mac, you need to use Safari on desktop.

How can I see my old courses?
In Global Navigation, click >Courses>All Courses.Past courses show up under Past Enrollments.
View Past Enrollments
Depending on course configuration, some favorite courses may still display the favorite icon even after the course has ended. If a past enrollment course shows the favorite icon, users can unfavorite the course by toggling the star icon.
